Welcome to Brunswick County

Townships

There are three incorporated towns situated in Brunswick County.

The Town of Alberta is a small town located on Historic Route 1 directly off Interstate 85. Alberta was founded in 1928 at the intersection of two major railroads. The town continues to preserve the quality of life experienced more than 90 years ago when the trains stopped there.

The Town of Brodnax is located on the border of Brunswick and Mecklenburg counties. U.S. Highway 58 passes through the town, leading west 6 miles to Interstate 85 and east 30 miles to Interstate 95. Anyone traveling Highway 58 from the Virginia shore to the Blue Ridge Mountains passes directly through Brodnax.

The Town of Lawrenceville, founded in 1814, is centrally located between Richmond, VA, and Raleigh, NC. The town, which serves as the County Seat, was named after a famous racehorse, Lawrence. Rolling pastures, southern hospitality, local shopping, historic sites, and recreational trails and waterways await your enjoyment!
