There are seven (7) fire departments located throughout the county comprised of volunteer members. The fire departments are customer service organizations partnering with communities, members, citizens and visitors to foster the feeling of safety any place, any time, through planning, mitigation, response and restoration.

Volunteer firefighting is one of the most rewarding experiences you'll ever have. The skills you will learn as a volunteer firefighter are invaluable. Volunteering is one of the best ways to make a difference personally while having a positive impact on the lives of those around you.
